Unsheets

I read John August's interesting post 'In Praise of unsheets', which he defines as a one-sheet movie poster created after the movie's release with a graphic style atypical of one-sheets of its genre and era. Normal one-sheet posters, even the best or most artistic examples, are designed for the purpose of advertising a movie, and mostly showcase 'floating movie-star faces and Trajan, the movie font'.

Unsheets usually rely on a pre-existing knowledge of the movie, focus on memorable or distinct moments from the film, with the main difference being that an unsheet does not advertise a movie, it celebrates one.
